For the fifth consecutive year, the Ghaqda Muzikali San Girgor of Kercem will be organising ‘Festubru,’ the popular annual festival for all the family. This year it will be held on the 4th, 5th and 6th of October. The event will be held at the most picturesque valley in the Maltese Islands, Lunzjata Valley, just on the borders between Victoria and Kercem.

The Organising Committee will once again present a full programme of activities and attractions directly linked with tradition during the weeked, which is now part of the annual cultural calendar of Gozo.

This three-day activity will also include various attractions and exhibitions featuring farming tools and animals used by our forefathers. An interesting attraction for everyone will be the pressing of olives and the production of olive oil and, the art of wool weaving. Local fresh products and preservatives will be available to purchase at the festival. There will also be the chance to take a guided tour of the valley.

The fascinating Lunzjata Chapel will be open throughout the three days where mass will be celebrated.

This festival is being organised in collaboration with the Ministry for Gozo the Parliamentary Secretary for Culture and local Government, as well as the Kercem Local Council. The general public will have the opportunity to appreciate Gozo in its natural state.
