Two men of German nationality have been injured, one grievously, in a collision between a crane and a pick-up truck in Xewkija. Gozo.
Police said that the accident happened at around 9.00am in Triq l-Imgarr
The Tadano TR301 crane involved in the collision was being driven by a 37-year old man from Ghajnsielem. The injured men, were the 48-year driver of an Isuzu KB pick-up truck and his 51-year old passenger.
The men were given assisted by a medical team at the scene before being taken to the Gozo General hospital, where the 51-year passenger was certified as having sustained grievous injuries, the driver was slightly injured.
The crane driver was uninjured.
Police investigations are ongoing.
