MEPA approves redevelopment of former Belle View Complex

The MEPA Board today approved planning permission for the redevelopment of the former Belle View complex in Mellieha.
The disused property which has a frontage on four streets will be demolished and will make way for a new commercial and residential development comprising of a supermarket and ancillary cafeteria, underground parking facilities, stores, and 23 residential units.
MEPA said that “the approved project also incorporates two underground 500 litre vertical tanks for LPG storage to service the development. Both the location and size of these tanks have been approved by the Malta Resources Authority.”
the Authority added that a Traffic Impact Statement for this project was carried out and approved by Transport Malta.
