There is a Gozo-Rocks! Clean & Green Hike on Saturday, the last cleaning Hike of 2014. Organiser Louis Debattista said, “we will have completed the entire perimeter of Gozo! Please join us on Saturday, the 28th of June…hiking from Ramla to Marsalforn.”

“We’ll be meeting at the Qala Local Council at 8.30am sharp, which is when the the bus will leave. Please bring your swim suit and towel, so we all can take a swim after we are all done with the Hike. Bus will be waiting for us to take us back to Qala. Please let me know if you can join us,” said Louis.

“Sundays I have to be with the Alive Charity cycling team so I can keep up with my training for the 9th of July.” Louis thanked everyone in Gozo who has helped by giving donations. “For the ones who are still thinking about it, I am accepting donations until the 4th of July, so please help. Cheques can be made out to Alive Charity Foundation, with “Louis Debattista” in the memo line and mailed to Louis Debattista, at “The Dusty House,” Triq ta’ Cini, Qala QLA-2020..

Please include a return address so a receipt can be sent. “Please help the only Gozo Rider in this year’s challenge to collect more money to help those struggling with breast cancer.”

For those who would like to join Louis and the team of volunteers on the final hike for this year, please also take along food and water and wear sensible shoes, the gloves and bags are provided.
