The Malta Aviation Society, organisers of the airX Malta International Airshow, has advised that due to circumstances beyond its control, the aerobatic team Turkish Stars will not be participating in the Airshow, which takes place this weekend.

Once faced with this situation the organising committee managed to secure the RAF Red Arrows for both days of the airshow.

This year’s event will feature 3 display teams – the Italian team Frecce Tricolori, the Spanish team Patrulla Aguila and now the world famous RAF Red Arrows, all on both days of the event.

The inclusion of the RAF Red Arrows on Saturday replacing the Turkish Stars, means that this year’s edition of the airX Malta International Airshow will feature the largest flying display programme ever.

The show takes place this Saturday and Sunday, the 27th and 28th of September. Malta Public Transport said that it is offering a direct bus service on both days of the show from Valletta to Hal Farrug via the Marsa Park & Ride.
