Two cruise liners with a total of around 830 passengers on board visited Gozo in the space of two days.
The MV Windsurf called into the harbour on Sunday with 310 passengers on board, the ship is operated by Windstar Cruises, then on Monday, the MV Deutschland called into Gozo, this ship is operated by Peter Deilmann Cruises and had 520 passengers on board.
In a statement this afternoon, the Ministry for Gozo said that these arrivals “meant extra work for Gozitan businesses, which had already witnessed an increase in employment in various sectors of the island including hotels and restaurants. An economic boost such as this in Gozo is of benefit to everyone.”
The Ministry for Gozo stated that it remains committed to improve accessibility, and enhance the Gozitan tourism product, so that more people choose Gozo as a holiday destination, even in the shoulder season of November to April.

Dont be fooled by the numbers. Not all the passengers actually visited Gozo and the ones that did were only day trippers.
