Investigations by the Gozitan Police on Friday, led to the discovery of what they describe as “explosive material,” in a garage in Triq Mro Giuseppe Giardini Vella, Victoria, Gozo.

Two persons, both residing in Victoria, were arrested in connection with the case, the Police said.

It is understood that the garage is situated beneath the Ku Club, which forms part of the Astra Theatre complex.

A Magisterial inquiry has been appointed and Police investigations are ongoing.
