The Bishop of Gozo Mgr Mario Grech, has appointed with immediate effect,.Fr Richard Nazzareno Farrugia from Xaghra parish, as Rector of the Major Seminary of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Father Gabriel Gauci, from the parish of the Our Lady of Perpetual Succour and St Gregory the Great in Kercem, has been appointed as Vice Rector and Prefect of Studies of the same Major Seminary. Father Gabriel will also be the Secretary of the Diocesan Bishop and c-Cerimonier

The Gozo Diocese said in a statement, that the appointments were made following the resignation of Fr Tony Sciberras MSSP from the office of Rector of the Gozo Seminary.
