A special schedule for public transport will be operated on Gozo and Malta during the Christmas week, starting from this coming Monday, the 24th of December to Tuesday, the 1st of January.

Malta Public Transport said that buses will operate on a Saturday time schedule from Monday to Friday.

The service on routes that normally operate only during the weekdays, namely 49, 50 and 90, will still be provided during this week. N13 and N212 will operate during the night.

On Christmas Day the 25th of December and New Year’s Day, the 1st of January 2019: Routes will operate on the Sunday schedules. The service will, however, be suspended between 12:00 and 15:00, with the last buses departing between 10:00 and 11:30, depending on the length of the trip.

On those two days, journeys will then resume between 15:00 and 16:00, according to schedules. The service will be terminated at 21:00, with the last buses departing between 19:30 and 21:00 depending on the length of the trip. Night routes will not operate on these two days.

On Saturday 29th December: all routes, including night routes, will operate as normal.

On Monday 31st December: Special Services will be available for the New Year Celebrations in Valletta, departing from the Valletta Terminus.

All routes will return to regular schedules on Wednesday 2nd January 2019.

Malta Public Transport also advised that its Sales Offices and its Contact Centre will be closed on Christmas day and New Year’s day.
