Wirja tal-Biedja u Snajja – agricultural and industrial exhibition, where you can experience traditional Gozitan sights and sounds, will be back next month in the Villa Rundle Gardens.

The show, which is a major attraction during the Santa Marija Feast, has been taking place on the island since 1855, organised by by the Agrarian, Industrial and Cultural Society of Gozo.

There will be more than 4,000 exhibits on show to the public, including produce, livestock, poultry, vegetables and song birds and farm machinery.

Gozo’s artisan work and crafts, produce, locally produced wines, oil and honey are showcased during the exhibition.

The 2-day event is suitable for all ages and tastes, with family entertainment related to traditional folklore on Wednesday evening, the 14th of August.

On Thursday, the 15th in the morning, the awards ceremony takes place at 11am with the presentation of trophies and cash prizes to the best exhibit in each of the categories.

The exhibition is open on Wednesday 7.00am – 11.00pm and Thursday 7.00am – 1.00pm
