Zebbug in Gozo, will next week be celebrating the feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary into Heaven – with a programme of activities leading up to the feast day on Sunday, the 25th of August.

As part of these celebrations the Saint Mary Philharmonic Society of Zebbug will be once again holding its August Annual Symphonic Concert – AssumptaFEST 2019.

This open-air concert will be held near the Band Club in Zebbug, on Wednesday, the of 21st August, starting at 8.45pm, under the distinguished patronage of His Excellency Bishop Giovanni Cefai M.S.S.P.

The Santa Marija Band, under the direction of its Music Director Mro. Joseph Grech, will be featuring classical and popular music excerpts with the participation of Gozo’s singing sensation Sarah Bonnici and one of Malta’s most loved pop tenors Ludwig Galea.

The concert is being organised with the collaboration of the Zebbug Local Council and the Ministry for Gozo.

The general public is invited to attend and entrance is free of charge.
