The Malta School of Music has received words of praised from German teachers for the visual and performing arts.
The Mikiel Anton Vassalli College Malta School of Music, recently hosted a delegation of German teachers for the visual and performing arts from the Music, Dance and Art School of Bannewitz in Dresden, Germany.
The School in Dresden, is similar to the Malta School of Music in that it offers after school intensive programmes in the Visual and Performing Arts to over 1,000 learners aged from 5 onwards including adults.
The German educators met with the administration of the Malta School of Music and the College and visited several music teachers during ongoing lessons with local students. The delegation also participated in an impromptu choir lesson.
Delegate Irmela Werner, said that they were not only impressed with the warm welcome given at this school in Malta but were mostly impressed with the strong curriculum on offer and the education tools for ongoing assessment.
“My colleagues and I would like to start a partnership with the Mikiel Anton Vassalli College. The Malta School of Music is very well organised, and we could vividly see that the teachers are all very competent and engaged. We could see the good relationship between the Maltese Music Teachers and their learners. We were impressed by the attitude of the Maltese students: the students seem very disciplined and focused. They played with joy and enthusiasm,” said Werner.
