On behalf of its residents, Dar tal-Providenza thanked everyone in Malta and Gozo who had helped them raise the record sum of €1,365,655 during yesterday’s 24th edition of the Feast of Generosity.

Fr Martin Micallef, Director of the Home, explained that some of the projects planned for next year is the opening of a new home in the community of Balluta; the refurbishment and installation of a new lift at Dar Zerniq in Siggiewi; refurbishment of the four flats in Villa Papa Giovanni and a specialised training course for management and staff by a foreign professional on “Difficult Behaviours.”

The whole telethon, that ended around midnight, was relayed ‘live’ on the main television stations.
