“Why not start the New Year by doing a good deed and help give life to others by giving blood,” said that National Blood Transfusion Service.

The Service said that in answer to this call for blood, it is inviting Gozitans to please make a donation this Sunday, the 5th of January, at the District Health Centre in Xewkija, between 8:00am to 1:00pm (last registration until 1:00pm).

The Centre is located in Triq tall- Hamrija, between the Primary School and the Bocci Club.

The Service reminds everyone that it is important to always take your Identity Card, or Driving License or Maltese Passport and to drink plenty of water beforehand.

After this Sunday, the next chance to make a blood donation in Gozo will be on Tuesday, the 14th of January.
