Adoration of the Magi Bethlehem f'GhajnsielemThe organising committed of Bethlehem f’Ghajnsielem has announced the schedule for this Sunday’s Adoration of the Magi, which will bring this year’s edition of the Nativity Village to a close. Full details are shown below.

This is the final chapter in the story of the Nativity, when he Three Wise Men will make the triumphant entrance at the nativity village, Bethlehem f’Ghajnsielem, stopping at the grotto to present gifts to baby Jesus.

Many thousands of visitors have enjoyed this 11th edition of the Nativity Village since it opened earlier this month enjoying the many features, including the grotto with Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus, the vegetable and fish markets, carpenters and blacksmith, as well as a bakery.

This popular event which is free of charge, has over 200 actors taking part in the Nativity Village, which is spread over 20,000 square metres in the quaint village of Ghajnsielem.

Saturday 4th January

10:30am-12:30pm – Activity in Birgu

2:00pm – Arrival at the Valletta Waterfront from where they will travel to Hamrun

4:00pm- 5:30pm – Activity in Hamrun

6:00pm-8:00pm – Activity in Paola

Sunday 5th January

8:30am – The Magi will enter Mdina

11:00am-12:30pm – Activity in Mellieha which consists of a meeting between the Magi and Herod in the Square

12:30pm – The Magi leave Mellieha to Cirkewwa

2:30pm – The Magi will catch the ferry to Gozo and from Mgarr they will ride up to Ghajnsielem and the Nativity Village

4:00pm – The Magi will arrive at Bethlehem f’Ghajnsielem for the triumphant entrance to visit the Baby Jesus.

Although the nativity village is always open, it will only be animated on the following days:

Wednesday, 1 January 3.30pm – 8.00pm

Sunday, 5 January ** 2.00pm – 8.00pm

** Departure of the Three Kings from Malta and Official Closing Ceremony.
