The UHM-the Voice of Workers, has launched a series of industrial actions in the Gozo General Hospital and Karin Grech Hospital.

In a statement on Monday, the Union said it had has been calling on the Government to absorb Steward Health Care workers, and so to foster the basic concept of equal pay for equal work.

“Because of the Government’s silence on the issue, the UHM issued industrial action for its members working in these hospitals, no matter who their employer is,” it said.

The Union added that any person who wished to complain, or are affected by these actions, they are invited to call the Auberge de Castille on 2500 0000 to put their complaint forward.
