For the fifth consecutive year,  the DCapitals Band will be performing a concert at the Citadella, Gozo, which will also open the second edition of the Cittadella Arts Festival.

During the official launch, Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri explained that, “the Festival, which is organised by DCapitals Big Band in collaboration with the Malta Arts Council and the Ministry for Gozo, will be have a reduced format this year.”

This spectacular free of charge concert will be held in the Cittadella Ditch, and will feature the band’s resident singers: Francesca Sciberras, Jolene Samhan and Fabian Galea together with Kantamaghna winner Nathaniel Attard. The band will be under the direction of George Apap.

Special guest for the evening will be Malta’s ambassador at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 and X Factor 2020 winner – Destiny. Dancers from the Centre Stage Dance Academy will also be participating during the concert.

CAF’s artistic director Mro George Apap said that, “this year despite major challenges posed by the pandemic we have worked hard and are proud to be able to keep this annual concert appointment.”

Minister Camilleri thanked the band for organising the concert, as well as Ms Mary Ann Cauchi on behalf of the Malta Arts Council, Mr. John Xuereb on behalf of the Cultural Heritage Directorate Gozo and Mro George Apap, band director and artistic director of the festival.

The concert is on Saturday, the 1st of August, starting at 9pm. Entrance is free of charge. Seating is on a first come first served basis.
