During a visit to Gozo on Tuesday, Prime Minister Robert Abela visited the Magro Brothers factory at the Xewkija Industrial Estate, where he met with employees and had the opportunity to view the production process of some of the company’s best known products.

The Prime Minister’s tour included a look at the latest investment made in the factory, the purchase of another facility through an investment of €300,000 which will enable the company to create a new range of dairy products.

He was shown round the plant by Magro Brothers Chairman John Magro, the Chief Executive Christian Magro.

Magro Brothers, which today employs over 90 people, has diversified its operations over the years, and it was explained that this was made possible “by substantial assistance from Malta Enterprise through a number of schemes.”

Accompanying the Prime Minister during this visit was the Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri.
