A 64-year-old Kercem man was seriously injured after falling from a ladder in a field located in the area of Triq Saguna, Sannat, Gozo.

Police said that the incident happened at around 11am on Tuesday morning, when the man was carrying out some maintenance work on a room that was situated in the field.

He was taken to the Gozo General Hospital for further treatment, where he was later certified to be suffering from serious injuries.

Police investigations are ongoing.
