X300 Gozo commuter bus - timetable and ticket details announcedThe new X300 direct route from Cirkewwa to Valletta via Msida, will start operating as from Thursday, the 1st of October, Malta Public Transport has said.

The timetable will coincide with ferry schedules to offer Gozitan students and commuters the most convenient and economic daily connection to University, Mater Dei hospital, the Junior College and Valletta.

MPT explained that there will be five morning journeys and five afternoon journeys from Monday to Friday, excluding Public Holidays. Route X300 will makes stops at the Msida Skate Park and Msida Kullegg before its final destination at the Valletta terminus.

The morning trips depart shortly after the arrival of the ferry crossing from Gozo – 06:25, 06:55, 07:25, 07:55 and 08:40

The afternoon trips leave Valletta on the reverse route in time to catch the evening ferry crossings from – 16:45,17:15, 17:45, 18:15 nd 18:45.

Fares for students and Gozo Tallinja Card holders are €0.75 per journey while all other Tallinja Card holders will be charged €2.50 per trip. Passengers using a 12 Day Journey Card will have two journeys deducted from their credit, equivalent to €2.50.

On-bus tickets using cash or contactless cards are also available for €3.00 per journey. There are no added charges for Tallinja Explore Card holders.

Malta Public Transport said that “the new X300 route is being introduced after consultation with the Gozo University Group (GUG) and the Association of Gozitan Employees in Malta (AGEM).”
