News that educators, and members of staff working in schools will start being invited to get vaccinated against COVID-19 in around 6 weeks’ time, has been welcomed by the Union of Professional Educators – Voice of the Workers.

The UPE went on to say that it hopes that the pattern of vaccinations held to date will be upheld even when it comes to educators, with older educators receiving their invitation first and then progressing towards the younger age groups as the rollout proceeds.

The union concluded by saying that it is looking forward to seeing educators, who are willing to accept the invitation, finally receive this long awaited the vaccine which should eventually pave the way towards the end of this pandemic.
