Nominations are open for the sixth edition of the Gozo Sports Awards, which is being organised by the Gozo Sports Board, in collaboration with the Ministry for Gozo.

These awards are to honour Gozitan athletes for their commitments and achievements, while rewarding them for their advances in the various sports disciplines.

The Ministry for Gozo explained that this year’s edition will combine the years 2019 and 2020, as due to the restrictions regarding the Covid-19 pandemic, and on directives of the Superintendence of Public Health, no sports activities had been practised for many months

Anyone who has achieved success in his or her sporting discipline during those two years will be covered in this edition.

Athletes may be nominated by their respective Gozitan associations, Gozitan clubs or by the same individuals if they feel they have reached a high level in their respective discipline and in the categories on the application.

Applications can be downloaded online by clicking here, or collected from the Gozo Sports Board Office at the Victoria Sports Complex, Gozo.

The Ministry advised that nominations must reach the Gozo Sports Board offices at the Sports Complex and be submitted to the Secretary of the Gozo Sports Board Mr. Albert Scerri by noon on Monday, the 30th of August 2021. Confirmation will be issued for each nomination.
