Vincenzo Bonello exhibition extended at Il-Hagar in GozoThe Vincenzo Bonello Exhibition at Il-Hagar museum has been extended due to popular demand.

The exhibition marks the 130th anniversary of Vincenzo Bonello (1891-1969) and features a substantial number of designs for Gozitan churches, including Ta’ Pinu and Mgarr and the parishes at Kercem, Qala and Xewkija.

Copies of the accompanying publication, #13 in the Il-Hagar GEMS series, remain available at Il-Hagar.

The museum once again acknowledged the persons and institutions who provided the various exhibits, including documents, a portrait, a bust (by Giorgio Preca) – and who accepted to extend their loans.

The exhibition will now be available to view up to Tuesday, the 12th of October during the normal opening hours of 9am to 5pm seven days a week. There is no entrance fee.

The museum reminded that a lecture showing how science can contribute towards art understanding will be held on the 25th of September at 7.30pm to celebrate the conclusion of a restoration project on five Filippo Fortunato Venuti oils.

Il-Hagar museum is located in St George’s Square, Victoria.
