The Nationalist Party has accused Education Minister Justyne Caruana of “failing to keep her promise” that refurbishment works would start on Nadur Primary School by the end of the summer. “we are now almost at the end of October and still nothing has started,” the PN said.

Opposition Spokesperson for Gozo Chris Said and Clyde Puli the PN Spokesperson for Education, said in a statement that, “the PN hopes that this work will be done in the shortest possible time and without and disruption to the children who attend this school.”

“Hopefully the work on the Nadur primary school will not take as long as the work on the Victoria primary school, which has been promised for 7 years and to date the construction of this school is not completed,” they said.

The MPs reminded Minister Caruana that on the eve of the 2017 election, she promised a new home for the elderly in Nadur, “plans were shown at a press conference, almost 5 years have now passed and absolutely nothing has been done.”
