To mark the International Day of Disabled Persons a Mass was celebrated in Ta Pinu, led by the Bishop of Gozo Mons. Anton Teuma, together with the Rev. Michael Galea Director of the Arka Foundation.

At the end of the Mass, gifts were presented to Mons. Manwel Curmi, Maria Buttigieg and Joe Cremona, in recognition of the work and service given through the years to the Arka Foundation.

The rector of the Sanctuary, Fr. Jerry Buhagiar, also presented Fr.Michael with a painting of Our Lady of Ta’ Pinu which will be placed in the home for people with disabilities living an independent life, and that is to be named after Our Lady of Ta’ Pinu.
