Heritage Malta has advised that as from Monday, the 17th of January, visitors to any of its museums and sites in Gozo and Malta will be required to present a valid vaccine certificate.

As advised by Health Minister Chris Fearne last month, the vaccine certificate for those who have received 2 doses of the jab will be valid for 3 months as from the 17th of January. Anyone who has had 3 doses will have a certificate valid for 9 months.

As from the 17th of January, it will be mandatory that a person present a valid vaccine certificate to enter restaurants, bars, clubs, snack bars, gyms, movie theatres, theatres, casinos and bingo halls, sporting events, pools, spas and saunas and organised events.

However, exemption will be granted to children under the age of 12 who can attend these places without the need to show the vaccine certificate, provided they are accompanied by vaccinated adults.
