An 86-year old woman has passed away during the last 24-hours while Covid positive, Authorities have said.

786 new Covid-19 cases have been found overnight and 888 recoveries, which now takes the number of active cases in Malta and Gozo to 14,962.

There are 123 patients requiring treatment in Mater Dei Hospital (which is the only one being reported) including 7 who are in ITU.

Authorities said there have been 485 deaths since the start of the pandemic.

The number of booster doses administered up until yesterday is 261,838.
