Applications for the National Volunteer Award 2022 organised by the Maltese Council for the Voluntary Sector, are now open.

The award, which is being held for the 11th year, aims to recognise the work of people who are making a positive contribution to society and who are being an inspiration to others.

It is awarded to an individual volunteer who has contributed in any field, such as social, humanitarian, health, ecological, cultural, education, sports, etc.

The voluntary work must have had a positive contribution towards a particular field and should ideally have served as an inspiration to others.

This year there are 5 new awards:

Youth Volunteer Award,

Volunteer Organisation Award,

Corporate Voluntary Support Award,

Special Award for Voluntary Work in the Community, and

Victor Calvagna Award for Children in Volunteering

Applications are available at: https://vofunding.org.mt/funds/121 and close on Friday, the 4th of November, at midday. The awards ceremony will be held on the 3rd of December.
