With just around 2 hours to go, €4,000,000 has been raised so far during the annual 12-hour charity fund raising marathon L-Istrina, taking place at the Kirkop Sports Complex and Villa Rundle Gardens in Victoria, Gozo.
Boxing Day is now synonymous with the annual 12-hour charity fund raising event, which last year raised just over €5,845,000.
The event is held to raise money in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund, to be used for those who are less fortunate.
The fundraiser, is being broadcast on all national television stations.
The donation lines are open and the general public is invited to continue donating on the following numbers: 5190 2030 – €50; 5180 2012 – €25 and SMS: 5061 9201 – €11.65.
