The National Blood Transfusion Service has said that despite the generous amount of blood donations they are receiving, blood stocks of O Positive, A Positive and B Positive blood groups are still at critical levels
The Service continues to encourage Gozitans to please keep attending so that the blood reserve of all groups remains stable and the patients in need get the necessary blood in a timely manner.
The next session will be on Sunday, the 2nd of July, from 8am until 1pm, at the Xewkija Clinic.
“Your cooperation and generosity are greatly appreciated as always,” the Service said.
The centre is located at the Xewkija Clinic, in Triq tall- Hamrija, between the Primary School and the Bocci Club.
Important notes from the National Blood Transfusion Service
The Service reminds everyone that it is very important to always take your Identity Card, or Driving License or Maltese Passport and to drink plenty of water beforehand.
As usual, please wear a mask when attending the clinic.
