The recently published ‘L-Ewwel Bibbja Tieg?i’ is being promoted to introduce children to the timeless wisdom and values of Bible stories as part of the celebration of the ‘Sunday of the Word of God’ and the ‘Week of Prayer for Christian Unity.’
Published by the Malta Bible Foundation, this Maltese adaptation of the Beginner’s Bible – a classic that has sold over 25 million copies worldwide since 1989 – features stories carefully tailored for young readers.
The updated edition combines modernised text and unique artwork, offering a contemporary and engaging touch to these timeless narratives.
‘L-Ewwel Bibbja Tieg?i’ is available for purchase in leading bookshops across Malta and Gozo, as well as online at https://bible.mt/
Established in 2021, the Malta Bible Foundation has published this work as part of its official mandate by the Maltese Episcopal Conference to build upon the fruitful work that the Malta Bible Society had introduced locally in 1958, to promote the Bible to all.
To address the pastoral needs of today, the Malta Bible Foundation is also an active member of the Catholic Biblical Federation and the United Bible Societies, two esteemed international organisations that promote the distribution of the Bible worldwide.
The Malta Bible Foundation is also responsible for the ongoing updating of the Maltese Bible translation from the original Greek and Hebrew texts. This ensures that the translation continues to reflect the latest scientific studies in scripture while adapting to the evolution of the Maltese language.
For those seeking a Bible in a different language, the Malta Bible Foundation encourages the public to get in touch by sending an email to info@bible.mt
