Refurbishment work has been completed on the first floor of Dar Arka in Ghajnsielem and in a ceremony last week the Bishop of Gozo Anton Teuma, blessed the opening of this floor where around 20 disabled residents live.

The Foundation explained that extensive work was carried out through an investment of €410,000, which has enabled the residents to live in a more comfortable and brighter environment.

Before the opening, a Mass of thanksgiving was held for the over 15 years of service given by Dun Michael J. Galea in this Home, and a welcome was given to the new Director Mons. Jimmy Xerri.

The Arka Foundation thanked David’s Bakery Gozo for the food provided for the celebration that took place after the ceremony.
