Next Sunday, the annual hill climb car races will be held in Xaghra, organised by the Island Car Club.
Xaghra Local Council advised that the event starts at 8am and finishes at around 5pm.
The main entry to the village, i.e. 8th September Avenue, will be closed during these races.
The Council advised that the main entry to 8th September Avenue. Triq San Marzjal will be one-way in a downward direction to avoid traffic congestions.
The public is therefore kindly being requested to use the entrances from Triq Ghajn Damma, Triq Marsalforn, Triq is-Sellum and Triq Ghajn Hosna (road leading to Ramla). There will be no access from Triq Ta’ Hamet and 8th September Avenue.
The Xaghra Local Council thanked everyone for their cooperation and apologised for any inconvenience this may cause.
