Data from the National Statistics Office released today show that registered full-time employment totalled 309,592 in April, an increase of 4.9% over the same month in 2025 and by 0.6% on the previous month.

Part-time as a primary job amounted to 37,136 an increase of 7.6% when compared to the same period in 2025 and by 0.8% on the previous month.

The NSO noted that private sector full-time employment went up by 5.1% over a period of one year reaching 253,274 and by 0.6% when compared to the previous month.

Public sector full-time employment increased by 4.2% since April 2025, totalling 56,318 and by 0.4% compared to the previous month.

As compared to April 2025, the NSO said that full-time employment for males and female went up by 5.0% and 4.8% amounting to 186,367 and 123,225 respectively.

Full-time employment for males and females increased by 0.6% and 0.5% respectively on the previous month
