Gozo-Malta Open Water Swimming Challenge 2010

Birkirkara St Joseph Sports club will once again be organising their annual charity event “Open Water Swim Challenge.”

Two ambitious races are going to be held this year in aid of Inspire; the Malta-Gozo-Malta Swim and the Gozo-Malta Swim. The Gozo-Malta Swim will see participants attempting a swimming distance of 5.5 kilometres from Ras il-Qala, in Gozo, proceeding on the shortest possible route towards the island of Comino and finishing at a marking buoy at Marfa.

On the other hand, the Malta-Gozo-Malta will see swimmers attempting a more ambitious challenge where participants will attempt a swimming distance of 11km from Marfa Quay in Malta, to Hondoq ir-Rummien in Gozo and back!

To participate in the Gozo – Malta B’Kara St Joseph Sports Club open water swimming challenge in aid of Inspire one would need to have participated in any two of the 2K races or the 4K race organised by the Club.
