The price of 12kg gas cylinders, will be reduced by 50c from €16.50, as from tomorrow, Friday, the 1st of May, the Energy Ministry has said.

The Ministry stated that this will be the lowest price for gas cylinders for the past four years, for the period between May and September. The highest price reached of €19.70 for the same size cylinder, was under the previous administration.

“This policy of stability is translated to Maltese consumers by benefiting from a rate of inflation which is much lower than in previous years, since the policy of stability is reducing the uncertainty of prices has made it easier for families and businesses to plan their expenses in advance,” said the Ministry.

The Ministry thanked Liquigas for its cooperation for its cooperation, as well as the Malta Resources Authority.
