There are four blood donation sessions taking place in Gozo during the month of August, organised by the National Blood Transfusion Service. The first one is this coming Sunday, the 4th of August.

The constant need for blood of all types never ceases, particularly during the hot summer months and to help meet this demand, the public on Gozo are being requested to please make a donation on one of the dates shown below.

Donations can be made at the District Health Centre in Xewkija, located in Triq tall- Hamrija, between the Primary School and the Bocci Club.

Sundays – last registration 1:00pm

4th August from 8: 00am to 1:00pm

18th August from 8: 00am to 1:00pm

Tuesdays – last registration 5:00pm

13th August from 1:00pm-5:00pm

27th August from 1:00pm-5:00pm.

The Service reminds everyone that it is important to always take your Identity Card, Driving License or Maltese Passport and to drink plenty of water beforehand.
