The day after Christmas is now synonymous with the annual charity fundraising event L-Istrina – a feast of generosity and solidarity. This year’s theme is – L-Istrina, din is-sena f’idejk.

The event is held in both Gozo and Malta on the 26th of December to raise money in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund, to be used for those who are less fortunate.

In Gozo there will be an afternoon of entertainment for L-Istrina, in the parking area next to Arkadia, Victoria, which will be showcasing local young talent, while also raising funds for the event.

In Malta the events will start from midday at the Hal-Kirkop Sporting Complex, where many celebrities and others will be joining in the festivities.

€7,134,036 – a new record – was raised during the 2018 L-Istrina 12-hour fundraising marathon.
