During the meeting earlier this week between the Bishops and the Health Authorities, Minister for Health Dr Chris Fearne, formally thanked Bishop Mario Grech, Apostolic Administrator for Gozo, for the Church in Gozo’s “generous donation” to buy a ventilator for the Gozo General Hospital.

€50,000 was raised during the appeal by Bishop Grech, who passed the donation to the Authorities earlier this month.

In total, the sum raised was €60,230, the balance was given to the Deacon’s Office of the Gozo Diocese, in order to continue supporting those in the local community with financial difficulties due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
