Bus journeys on Friday will be free of charge to mark the occasion of the European Mobility Week which starts tomorrow and finishes next Wednesday, the 22nd of September.

This initiative was organised by Eco-Gozo within the Ministry for Gozo, in collaboration with Transport Malta.

In a joint statement, the Ministries said that the aim of the free public transport is to encourage the public more use of this type of service instead of using their own private vehicles.

“Priority given to public transport over private will further reduce emissions and environmental pollution,” they said.

This free of charge initiative is for Friday, the 17th of September.
