Villa San Lawrenz – Home for the Elderly, which is run by the Diocese of Gozo, organised a Christmas Novena for the residents where several Gozitan parishes once again accepted the invitation animate a daily Mass. with singing for the residents.

Among the Gozitan communities that took part in the Novena were Sannat, Kercem, Xaghra, St. George, Gharb, Santa Lucija, the Cathedral and San Lawrenz. Father Gabriel Micallef OFM, is the Chaplain of Villa San Lawrenz.

The Novena was closed by the Bishop of Gozo Anton Teuma, who was accompanied during the Mass by the Parish Priest of San Lawrenz Rev. Anthony Bajada and Rev. John Muscat.

Following the Mass, a reception was held for the elderly and their relatives, where Bishop Grech was able to speak with them and share a memory of the occasion.
